Spending time in another country is an excellent way to continue learning throughout your lifetime. To enrich your stay in Mexico, the Life Long Learning program offers courses, workshops and adventure-travel opportunities for the international community residing in Merida as well as for visitors to our area.

Life Long Learning courses and workshops are held at “Casa Internacional Mérida”, conveniently located just four blocks from the main square and close to Merida’s many museums and historic buildings. The “Casa Internacional Mérida” complex includes three colonial heritage buildings connected by open courtyards, archways and, staircases. The Mexican colonial ambiance is prevalent – the early 19th century tile work, stone patio floors, wrought iron doors and windows, and high stucco walls transport you back to “old Merida”.

Joanna van der Gracht de Rosado, founder and director of Life Long Learning is an educator and the author of “Tomando Agua de Pozo – A Guide for the Neophyte Yucatecan.” She has lived in Merida for more than thirty years, and encourages the Life Long Learning participants to “think globally” by expanding their lives through study, community work, and cultural travel.

The international Life Long Learning team is committed to providing all the tools necessary for its participants´ enrichment and enjoyment. You will find them friendly and supportive.

Life Long Learning programs are non-credit. A certificate of participation is awarded to all participants.
